Polysiloxane (Condensation Silicone)

This soft-to-mix, elastic-setting putty is suitable for a wide range of clinical situations and is particularly recommended for the single-stage impression technique. It offers an excellent balance between rigidity and elasticity, ensuring accurate results with high dimensional stability.

Applications:• Zetaplus: Polysiloxane designed for the first impression, featuring high initial flow during the working phase and excellent rigidity after setting. Recommended for the two-stage (double) impression technique.
• Zetaplus Soft: Polysiloxane with good initial flow and sufficient elasticity for easy removal from the oral cavity. Also recommended for the two-stage technique.
• Oranwash VL: Low-viscosity, highly fluid, hydro-compatible polysiloxane. Ideal for the two-stage impression technique.
• Oranwash L: Low-viscosity, extremely fluid, hydro-compatible polysiloxane suitable for two-stage impressions.
• Thixoflex M: Low-viscosity, thixotropic, hydro-compatible polysiloxane. It stays in place when injected directly onto the preparation but flows easily where needed. Recommended for two-stage, single-phase impressions, and for relining removable prostheses.

Dosage:

• Use the measuring spoon to take the required amount of Zetaplus. Spread it over your hand. (Ensure the putty is level with the top of the scoop for correct dosage.)
• Press the rim of the measuring scoop onto the putty once for each measure.
• For each measure of putty, apply two strips of Zhermack Indurent Gel along the length of the measuring scoop (~4 cm).
• If using Zhermack Indurent Liquid, add 5–6 drops of liquid per scoop of putty.

Mixing:

• Fold and knead the putty vigorously with your fingertips for about 30 seconds until the color is uniform and free of streaks.
• Spread the putty evenly over the impression tray.
• The total working time, including mixing, is approximately 1 minute 15 seconds.
• Place the tray in the mouth and allow it to set, which takes about 3 minutes 15 seconds.
