Zetaplus by Zhermack is a condensation silicone elastomeric impression material designed for final impressions of extraorally fabricated prostheses. With over 25 years of consistent performance, Zetaplus has earned wide acceptance among dental professionals for its reliability and precision. This hydro-compatible material is specifically formulated for high-accuracy impressions, combining excellent flow during the working phase with strong rigidity after setting. It is supplied in a green color with a spearmint flavor for patient comfort.

Primarily used in the two-stage impression technique, Zetaplus can also be applied in a single-stage procedure using its two viscosities. By optimizing the catalyst dosage, the working time can be extended while minimizing contraction, achieving a balanced workflow between working and setting times. The inclusion of high-activity spheroid filler Synthetic Amorphous Silica (SAS) enhances both flowability and dimensional stability, ensuring precise and reliable results.

Preparation

Mixing

• Dispense the required amount of Zetaplus putty and add the recommended dose of Indurent Gel catalyst.
• Mix thoroughly until the material achieves a uniform color, ensuring optimal activation.

Application

• Two-stage technique: Use Zetaplus putty as the base, followed by wash material for detailed impressions.
• Single-stage technique: Combine materials of different viscosities for both precision and support.

Placement

• Load the material evenly onto the impression tray.
• Insert the tray into the patient’s mouth, applying steady pressure to capture an accurate impression.

Setting Time

• Allow the material to set according to the working and setting time guidelines.
• Proper catalyst dosage ensures balanced handling time and minimal shrinkage.

Removal and Evaluation
