• Open the bag and transfer the alginate powder into an airtight container.
• Cut out and retain the lot number and expiry date from the bag for recordkeeping.
• Shake the container 2–3 times to evenly disperse the powder before mixing.
• Using the dosing spoon, scoop the alginate without compressing it, then level off the excess with a flat spatula.
• Pour the measured powder into a rubber mixing cup and repeat until the desired quantity is obtained.
• Add one-third of a measure of water (15 ml) for every 7 g spoonful of powder.
• Seal the container tightly and store it at a temperature between 5°C and 27°C.
• Combine water and powder, then mix thoroughly for the recommended time.
• Spread the mixed material evenly onto the impression tray and insert it into the mouth before the working time expires.
• Allow the material to set completely, keeping it in place for the full recommended intraoral setting time.
