Elite Glass is a medium-bodied addition silicone specifically designed for creating transparent matrices in aesthetic reconstructions using light-curing composites, suitable for both direct and indirect techniques. Its high transparency and optimal processing time make it especially effective for treating dyschromia, diastemas, fractures, rotations, conoids, and other dental malformations.

Device Preparation

• Assemble the device.
• Warning: Before attaching the mixing tip, ensure even flow of both components (base and catalyst) by pressing the dispenser lever lightly and extruding a small amount of material; discard this initial extrusion.
• Insert the mixing tip, and if needed, attach the intraoral tip to the cartridge.

Creation of a Transparent Matrix

• Select a transparent impression tray (e.g., Zhermack Hi Tray Light Clear) that allows at least 2–3 mm of Elite Glass thickness.
• Apply Elite Glass onto the tray.
• Position the tray in the mouth and leave until the setting time is complete.
• Remove the tray, rinse under running water, and dry the matrix gently with air.
• Prepare the tooth/teeth according to the chosen technique.
• Treat enamel and dentine as per the composite manufacturer’s instructions.
• Apply composite onto the prepared Elite Glass matrix.
• Reposition the matrix in the mouth.
• Polymerize according to the composite manufacturer’s guidelines.

Cleaning and Disinfection of the Matrix

• Rinse the matrix thoroughly under running water.
• Disinfect immediately by either:
• Immersing in Zeta 7 solution (Zhermack)
• Spraying with Zeta 7 spray (Zhermack)
• If using other disinfectants, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Cleaning and Disinfecting the Dispenser

• The dispenser can be cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized via liquid immersion or steam autoclave.
• Recommended products: Zeta 3 disinfectant and Zeta 2 sterilization liquid (Zhermack).
