Provides an inert chemical barrier against phosphoric acid etchants and adhesive resins during composite bonding.
Ultra-thin and stretchable construction allows seamless adaptation around tight interproximal contacts.
Hydrophobic composition prevents liquid wicking, ensuring a clean and dry operating field.
Autoclavable design enables chairside sterilisation for aseptic clinical use.
Non-adhesive surface ensures smooth removal without leaving sticky residue on enamel or restorations.
Effectively seals implant screw access channels to prevent microleakage and odor build-up under composite plugs.
Serves as a custom packing material behind sectional matrix bands to eliminate gingival overhangs.
Non-linting fabric eliminates thread contamination within access cavities compared to conventional cotton pellets.
Dental PTFE Teflon Tape is an indispensable isolation aid used in modern restorative, endodontic, and implant procedures. Formulated from high-density polytetrafluoroethylene, this non-stick tape creates an effective protective barrier that prevents unwanted adhesion of etching gels, bonding agents, and composite resins onto adjacent tooth structure. Its ultra-thin gauge and elastic elongation properties allow clinicians to stretch and slide it through tight interproximal spaces effortlessly.
Beyond adjacent tooth protection during multi-unit anterior veneers or posterior restorations, PTFE tape serves as a superior alternative to cotton pellets for blocking out implant screw access holes and root canal access chambers. Unlike traditional cotton, it is completely hydrophobic, non-absorbent, and non-linting, eliminating foul odors and bacterial entrapment. The material withstands standard steam autoclaving cycles up to 134°C, ensuring complete aseptic safety during surgical and restorative workflows.

1.Dispense the required length of PTFE tape using sterile scissors or gloved hands.
2.Autoclave the prepared strip inside a sterilisation pouch if sterile isolation is required.
3.Stretch and drape the tape snugly over adjacent teeth to shield them from etching gel and bonding agents.
4.Pack tightly into implant screw access channels prior to placing temporary or definitive composite seals.
5.Place interdentally between sectional matrix bands and adjacent teeth to compress the band for tight contact points.
6.Gently remove the tape after procedure completion using carrying tweezers or an endodontic probe.
