• Preparation – Isolate the treatment area and thoroughly dry the gingival tissues.
• Cord Selection – Select the appropriate cord size based on the depth of the gingival sulcus.
• Cord Placement – If needed, soak the cord in a hemostatic solution and gently insert it into the gingival sulcus using a cord packer.
• Retention Time – Leave the cord in place for a few minutes to achieve effective gingival retraction and hemostasis.
• Removal – Carefully remove the cord before taking the impression, ensuring the sulcus remains open for precise recording.
