Directions for Use: SS White Great White Ultra Burs

Selection:

• Choose the appropriate bur based on preparation type:
• Round End Taper (856 series): Chamfer crown and bridge preparations.
• Flat End Taper (847 series): Shoulder crown and bridge preparations.
• Football Egg (379-023): Occlusal or lingual reduction.

Handpiece Setup:

• Secure the bur in a high-speed handpiece designed for dental carbide burs.
• Ensure proper water spray is activated to prevent overheating.

Cutting Technique:

• Hold the bur with a light, steady hand; let the instrument do the cutting.
• Use smooth, controlled motions to reduce enamel or restorative material efficiently.
• Avoid excessive pressure to prevent “drag” or stalling.

Bulk Reduction:

• Complete the bulk of the tooth reduction using a single appropriate bur whenever possible.
• The Great White Ultra burs minimize clogging and maintain cutting efficiency even on amalgam or other restorative materials.

Finishing:

• After bulk reduction, switch to finer burs or finishing instruments if needed for margin refinement.
• Rinse and inspect the preparation to ensure precise margins and smooth surfaces.

Cleaning & Sterilization:

• Remove debris and thoroughly clean the bur after use.
• Autoclave according to manufacturer guidelines before reuse.
