The Shofu P & R Repair Kit is a versatile light-cure bonding system designed for the clinical repair of fractured ceramic or indirect composite restorations. It can be used intra-orally, even when metal surfaces are exposed, as well as for chairside adjustments or laboratory fabrication and repair of prostheses. The system ensures a strong and durable bond to metal, porcelain, and resin materials, offering both reliability and ease of use.

This system consists of three components:

ML Primer – A single-bottle metal link primer formulated to enhance the bond between resin materials and various metal alloys. It provides a simple, user-friendly application technique with a short application time of just 10 seconds.

CeraResin Bond (CRB 1) – Functions as a silane coupling agent, effectively priming feldspathic porcelain or indirect resin restorations to ensure optimal adhesion.

CeraResin Bond (CRB 2) – Serves as a bonding agent that forms a strong and durable bond, maintaining a thin and transparent bonding layer for aesthetic and reliable results.

Indications:

This system is ideal for:

• Fabrication and repair of resin veneer restorations, metal dentures, and metal attachments
• Repair of porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) restorations
• Bonding and repair of metal restorations such as onlays, crowns, and bridges, as well as metal splints, posts, and cores
• Temporary repair of fractured metal partial dentures

• 1 x 6 ml CRB 1

• Surface Preparation
• Clean the fractured or repair surface thoroughly to remove any debris, plaque, or contaminants.
• Roughen the metal surface using an air-abrasion unit or diamond bur to enhance mechanical retention.
• For porcelain or composite surfaces, etch appropriately following standard clinical protocols.
• Rinse and dry completely.
• Application of ML Primer (Metal Surface)
• Apply a thin, even coat of ML Primer to the metal surface using a microbrush.
• Allow it to react for 10 seconds.
• Air-dry gently to remove excess solvent.
• Application of CeraResin Bond (CRB 1)
• Apply CeraResin Bond 1 (CRB 1) to the porcelain or resin surface to act as a silane coupling agent.
• Leave it undisturbed for a few seconds, then gently air-dry.
• Application of CeraResin Bond (CRB 2)
• Apply CeraResin Bond 2 (CRB 2) evenly over the primed surface.
• Light-cure for 10 seconds to create a thin, transparent, and durable bonding layer.
• Repair / Build-up
• Apply the composite or repair material over the cured bonding layer.
• Light-cure as per the composite manufacturer’s instructions.
• Finishing & Polishing
• After complete polymerization, finish and polish the restoration to achieve the desired contour and luster.
