Instructions for Use1. Product Description / Purpose
The kit is designed for finishing and polishing all types of composite resin restorations without scratching adjacent enamel.
It includes:• Dura‑Green and Dura‑White stones for adjusting/finishing
• CompoSite regular and CompoSite Fine silicone polishers for pre‑polishing and final polish.
2. Recommended Speeds & Pressure
Use the following guidelines:• Dura‑Green Stones: ~5,000–20,000 rpm; maximum up to ~30,000 rpm; contact pressure ~3‑5 N.
• Dura‑White Stones: ~5,000–20,000 rpm; max ~30,000 rpm; contact pressure ~2 N.
• CompoSite Polishers: ~10,000–12,000 rpm (max ~20,000 rpm); contact pressure ~0.5 N.
3. Usage Steps (Typical Workflow)• Start with a stone (Dura‑Green) for reducing excess composite and initial contouring.
• Then use a finer stone (Dura‑White) for smoother finishing.
• Follow with CompoSite regular polishers (silicone points impregnated with aluminium oxide) for pre‑polishing.
• Finish with CompoSite Fine polishers (impregnated with zirconia) for high‑gloss polishing.
• Ensure the instrument is fully seated in the handpiece chuck, and run a test to verify smooth operation without run‑out before actual use.
• Use recommended pressure only; avoid excessive force, avoid acute angles to reduce risk of damage or breakage.
4. Safety & Precautions• Never exceed the maximum permissible speed for each instrument.
• Insert the shank completely into the chuck of the handpiece, per manufacturer’s instructions.
• Wear proper protective equipment (eye protection, mask) because dust may be generated during finishing.
• Do not use damaged or defective instruments (corrosion, deformation, etc).
5. Sterilization & Maintenance• Many of the Kit’s instruments are autoclavable (check the specific item).
• Clean and inspect the instruments before reuse. Follow local sterilization protocols.
