Root Canal Antiseptic Solution

SteriPulp is a specialized antiseptic solution designed for the treatment of infected root canals, particularly in cases of complicated pulpitis and during apicoectomy procedures. The formulation is based on phenol, formic aldehyde (≥30%), and dexamethasone.

Phenol and formaldehyde act as potent antiseptics by denaturing microbial proteins, resulting in deep mummification and effective root canal sterilization. Dexamethasone contributes anti-inflammatory benefits, helping to manage post-procedural discomfort.

The solution is formulated for use in biologically aggressive environments, suitable for application at oral temperatures (32°C–42°C, optimal at 37 ± 1°C) and humidity levels between 60–90%.

Indications:

• Disinfection of infected root canals in cases of complicated pulpitis
• Use as an antiseptic agent during apicoectomy (surgical resection of the tooth root apex)
• Management of infected root canals in re-treatment (endodontic retreatment) cases

Contraindications:

• Known hypersensitivity or idiosyncrasy to any component of the product
• Do not misuse or apply outside of recommended clinical indications

Storage Instructions:

• Store at a temperature between 5°C and 25°C
• Keep in a dry and well-ventilated area
• Seal the container tightly immediately after each use
• Do not use the product beyond its expiry date

SteriPulp should be applied using cotton swabs that are fully saturated and carefully squeezed to prevent any liquid leakage. Place the swab in the canal orifice and leave it for 2–3 days.

Cotton swabs saturated with SteriPulp can be used for treating infected root canals or as a temporary dressing.

After 2–3 days, remove the cotton swab, re-treat the canal, and then fill the sterile root canal with EugeSeal sealer.
