SafeEndo Smart Etch – 37% Phosphoric Acid Etchant Gel

Product Description:

SafeEndo Smart Etch is a 37% phosphoric acid-based etching gel used for preparing enamel and dentin surfaces in accordance with standard acid etching techniques. It is compatible with a wide range of dental adhesive systems.

• Designed for etching both enamel and dentin
• Within 15–30 seconds of application, enamel turns chalky white, indicating surface roughening for improved bond strength
• On dentin, orthophosphoric acid reacts with calcium and the smear layer, forming acid phosphates and removing the smear layer
• Opens dentinal tubules and modifies the dentin surface to enhance adhesive bonding
• Water-based formulation allows for easy removal using water and air spray
• Intended for intraoral use under typical biological conditions:
• Temperature range: 32°C to 42°C
• Average oral conditions: 37±1°C, 60–90% humidity

Indications:

• Etching of enamel and dentin as part of the acid etch bonding technique

Contraindications:

• Known hypersensitivity or idiosyncrasy to any component of the product
• Use with caution in patients with allergies
• Avoid misuse or improper application

Storage Instructions:

• Store at a temperature between 5°C and 25°C

Apply a small amount of gel to the prepared and dried enamel surface, allowing it to remain for 30 seconds, or to the dentin surface for 15 seconds.

For combined dentin and enamel treatment, the recommended contact time is 30 to 45 seconds.

Rinse the gel thoroughly with water and dry the area using compressed air.
