Clinical Application Protocol for SafeEndo ReCreate Bond 7

1. Surface Preparation

• Ensure proper isolation of the operative field from saliva using a rubber dam, cotton rolls, and a saliva ejector.
• Prepare the cavity according to standard protocols for hard dental tissues.

2. Pulp Capping (If Required)

• For deep cavities where pulp capping is indicated, apply a calcium hydroxide-based liner over the exposed dentine near the pulp.
• Cover the liner with glass ionomer cement for isolation.
• Leave the remaining dentinal surfaces uncovered to allow for direct adhesive application.

3. Adhesive Application

• Shake the SafeEndo ReCreate Bond 7 bottle thoroughly before use.
• Apply 1–2 coats to the prepared surface by gently rubbing for 15 seconds.
• Gently air-dry for approximately 5 seconds to avoid splashing, followed by a more forceful air-dry for an additional 5 seconds to ensure solvent evaporation.

4. Light Curing (Photopolymerization)

• Cure the adhesive using a light source emitting in the 400–500 nm wavelength range for at least 20 seconds.
• Keep the light guide tip as close as possible to the adhesive surface during curing.
• For extensive cavities, segment the area and cure each section individually for optimal results.

5. Inhibited Layer

• Do not remove the oxygen-inhibited layer formed after curing, as it facilitates bonding with the composite material.

6. After Application

• Wipe off any excess adhesive from the bottle nozzle and close the cap tightly immediately after use to prevent solvent evaporation.

7. Safety Precautions

• Avoid the use of eugenol-containing materials, as they interfere with the adhesive’s polymerization.
• In case of accidental contact with oral mucosa, eyes, or skin, rinse the affected area thoroughly with plenty of water.
