The material is supplied as a powder and liquid system that mixes easily to form a smooth, homogeneous paste. Its optimized formulation provides a convenient working time and an initial setting time of approximately 5 minutes, enabling efficient and predictable restorations. The radiopaque formulation also allows clear visibility on radiographs, facilitating post-operative evaluation and diagnosis.

Prime Cem Restorite Type 2 GIC is suitable for use as both a restorative material and a cavity liner. For deep cavities approaching the pulp, it can be placed over a calcium hydroxide liner or other compatible pulp-protective materials. The cement offers an aesthetic tooth-colored finish with a shade comparable to A2–A3, blending naturally with surrounding tooth structure.

Dispensing Powder and Liquid

• Use the provided measuring scoop to dispense one level scoop of powder onto a mixing pad.
• Dispense one drop of liquid separately, maintaining the correct powder-to-liquid ratio for optimal performance.
• Gently shake the powder bottle before dispensing to ensure uniform consistency.
• Invert the liquid bottle while dispensing drops for accurate measurement.
• Close the powder and liquid containers tightly after use to prevent contamination and moisture exposure.

Mixing Instructions

• Divide the dispensed powder into two equal portions.
• Mix the first portion of powder with the liquid for approximately 10 seconds.
• Add the remaining powder portion and mix for another 20 seconds until a smooth, homogeneous paste is achieved.
• Use a plastic spatula or the provided scoop for mixing.

Application Procedure

• Clean the tooth surface thoroughly using pumice paste and rinse with water.
• Dry the surface gently without completely desiccating the tooth structure.
• Isolate the treatment area to prevent contamination from saliva or other fluids.
• In case of pulp exposure, apply a calcium hydroxide liner or suitable pulp protection material before placement.
• For matrix strip applications, position the matrix strip before placing the cement.
• Once the cement surface loses its glossy appearance, apply a protective layer of cocoa butter or petroleum jelly over the restoration.

Contouring and Polishing

• Perform contouring and polishing approximately 6 minutes after mixing under running water.
• Air-dry the cement surface after polishing and reapply cocoa butter for surface protection.

Storage Conditions

• Store at 25°C in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight.
