Prevest Denpro CeraEtch Etching Gel is a specialized ceramic surface conditioning agent formulated with 5% buffered hydrofluoric acid in a viscous semi-gel delivery system. It creates defined microscopic retention patterns across porcelain surfaces, substantially increasing physical surface area and surface roughness to optimize bond strength with dental adhesives and resin cements.
This etching gel is specifically indicated for extraoral and intraoral surface preparation of ceramic restorations, including porcelain veneers, all-ceramic crowns, inlays, onlays, and localized porcelain fracture repairs. Its thixotropic properties ensure the material stays precisely where applied without running onto unintended soft tissue or tooth structures.
Supplied in a convenient 1.2 ml syringe equipped with fine dispensing tips, CeraEtch facilitates controlled, accurate application even on delicate indirect restorations. The bright gel color offers excellent contrast against ceramic substrate, guaranteeing complete visual control during placement and easy verification during complete water rinsing.

1. Isolate the target restoration or intraoral area using a rubber dam and apply gingival protection barrier.
2. Uncap the CeraEtch syringe, attach the single-use dispensing tip, and verify smooth gel flow outside the mouth.
3. Apply a thin layer of CeraEtch gel directly onto the clean, dry porcelain surface and allow it to react for 90 seconds.
4. Suction off the etchant gel and rinse the treated ceramic thoroughly with copious water spray, then air-dry completely.
5. Apply a silane coupling agent to the frosty etched ceramic surface and allow it to dry according to clinical protocol.
6. Proceed with the application of universal bonding adhesive and restorative resin cement or composite.
