Prevest Denpro CalUltra (Ref: 40046) is a self-curing, two-component calcium hydroxide cavity liner designed for direct and indirect pulp capping procedures in both pediatric and adult dentition. Upon mixing, it cures into a firm, rigid layer that acts as a physical thermal barrier, guarding vital pulpal tissue against chemical, electrical, and thermal shocks caused by modern dental filling materials.
The formulation releases beneficial ions that promote dentinal bridging and secondary dentin formation without affecting the cure rate or bond integrity of resin composites. Formulated with high radiopacity, CalUltra allows clear radiographic differentiation during follow-up assessments. Its lower oral solubility and impressive compressive strength make it an essential lining agent beneath amalgam, glass ionomer, composite, and cement bases.

1. Isolate the target tooth effectively using a rubber dam and perform standard cavity excavation.
2. For direct pulp exposures, manage bleeding using a sterile saline-moistened cotton pellet prior to application.
3. Dispense equal volumetric lengths of base paste and catalyst paste onto the supplied mixing pad.
4. Mix the pastes thoroughly within 10 seconds until a completely uniform, streak-free shade is attained.
5. Apply the freshly spatulated liner over the exposed pulp or pulpal floor using a ball-ended applicator.
6. Ensure the placement depth does not exceed 1 mm and allow the mix to set completely (2–3 minutes).
7. Carefully clear away set material from enamel margins or retention contours using a sharp excavator.
8. Proceed with the application of your chosen dental adhesive, base, or final restorative material.
