Prevest Crysta Restorative II GIC is a self-curing, hand-mix glass ionomer restorative cement engineered for routine direct clinical restorations and core build-ups. Formulated with ultra-fine fluoro alumina silicate glass and polyacrylic acid, it offers seamless chemical adhesion directly to tooth structure without the need for additional etching or priming steps. Its excellent thermal expansion match with dentin ensures tight marginal integrity and reduced microleakage.
This Type II glass ionomer cement provides sustained fluoride release to protect cavity margins and minimize the risk of recurrent decay. It is ideally suited for primary tooth restorations, Class III, Class V, and small Class I cavities, as well as fissure sealing and cervical lesion management. 1. Thoroughly clean the cavity preparation with pumice and water, then gently blot dry without desiccating the dentin.
2. Shake the powder bottle well before use to ensure uniform particle distribution.
3. Dispense one level scoop of powder and two drops of liquid onto the mixing pad.
4. Divide the powder into two equal parts using a plastic spatula.
5. Mix the first portion of powder with all the liquid for 15 seconds.
6. Incorporate the remaining powder into the mixture and combine thoroughly for an additional 20 seconds.
7. Transfer the mixed cement into the prepared cavity using a suitable placement instrument and contour appropriately.
8. Allow the restorative material to set undisturbed for 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
