1. Dispense a few drops of Prevest Carvene into a clean dappen dish or directly onto a small cotton pellet.
2. Place the liquid-soaked cotton pellet into the access cavity over the gutta-percha or filling material.
3. Seal the cavity with a temporary restorative cement.
4. Allow the solvent to soften the obturation material for 24 to 48 hours.
5. Remove the softened gutta-percha using suitable endodontic reamers or files during the subsequent appointment.
