1. Establish direct access and determine working length using manual K-files and an apex locator.
2. Form a reproducible glide path up to a size #15 or #20 hand file before introducing rotary instruments.
3. Mount the file onto an endodontic contra-angle handpiece set to 400 RPM and 2 Ncm torque.
4. Advance the instrument into the canal using light pecking movements along with a gentle out-stroke brushing action.
5. Withdraw the tool frequently to clear accumulated dentinal debris from the cutting flutes.
6. Irrigate thoroughly with sodium hypochlorite and verify canal patency between each shaping step.
