Meta Metapex Double is an established intracanal medicament formulated with calcium hydroxide, iodoform, and a silicone oil vehicle base. It is specifically created to provide potent antibacterial action and temporary obturation in complex endodontic treatments. The synergy between calcium hydroxide and iodoform releases hydroxyl ions that maintain a high alkaline environment, neutralizing persistent microorganisms in infected canals. The premixed, non-setting formulation flows smoothly into curved root structures, accessory canals, and lateral ramifications. Its high radiopacity ensures sharp radiographic contrast for accurate filling depth evaluation. Because the paste remains soft, clinicians can remove it easily using endodontic irrigants prior to definitive root canal sealing. This double pack contains two prefilled 2.2 g syringes complete with fine flexible applicator tips and a directional ring. It is well suited for primary tooth pulpectomies, managing weeping canals, controlling internal/external root resorption, and apexification cases.

Clean, shape, and thoroughly dry the root canal using paper points. Attach a fresh disposable applicator tip securely to the prefilled syringe and place the directional ring. Insert the tip into the canal to within 2 mm of the apex.Dispense the paste gradually while slowly withdrawing the syringe to avoid air entrapment or extrusion beyond the apex. Remove excess paste from the pulp chamber and seal the access cavity with a temporary or permanent restorative material.
