Maarc R2 Ceramic Alloy is a nickel-chromium alloy developed for the fabrication of porcelain-fused-to-metal restorations. Its beryllium-free formulation combines good casting characteristics with the mechanical strength required for durable metal frameworks.

The alloy forms a controlled oxide layer at the metal-porcelain interface, helping establish a reliable chemical bond with compatible dental ceramics. Its refined grain structure contributes to structural stability, while good burnishability makes contouring and finishing easier.

R2 Ceramic Alloy is suitable for PFM crowns, bridges, and other metal-ceramic restorations. It is supplied as rectangular alloy pieces in a convenient 500 g jar.

1 × Maarc R2 Ceramic Alloy Jar – 500 g

1. Prepare the wax pattern and sprue according to the required PFM restoration design.
2. Invest the wax pattern using a compatible dental investment material.
3. Complete burnout according to the selected investment system.
4. Place the required quantity of R2 Ceramic Alloy in the casting crucible.
5. Melt and cast the alloy using an appropriate dental casting system.
6. Allow the casting to cool before divesting.
7. Remove investment residue and finish the metal framework.
8. Prepare and oxidise the metal surface according to the porcelain manufacturer's instructions.
9. Apply compatible dental ceramic and complete the required porcelain firing cycles.
10. Finish and polish the completed PFM restoration.
