1. Warm the required wax sheet evenly to a workable temperature.
2. Adapt the softened wax over the occlusal surfaces.
3. Guide the patient into the required jaw relation.
4. Maintain closure until a clear occlusal record is obtained.
5. Cool the wax to stabilize the registration.
6. Remove carefully without flexing or distorting the record.
7. Inspect, trim excess wax and transfer the record to the articulator.
