Preparation:

Softening the Compound:

• Heat water in a water bath to approximately 60°C.
• Immerse the Maarc Impression Compound in the heated water until it softens and becomes pliable, taking care not to overheat or melt completely.

Preparing the Tray:

• Select an appropriately sized impression tray for the patient.
• Ensure the tray is clean and dry before applying the softened compound.

Applying the Compound:

• Remove the softened compound from the water bath and knead gently to achieve even consistency.
• Place the compound into the impression tray, spreading it evenly across the tray surface.

Taking the Impression:

• Position the tray in the patient’s mouth, covering the area to be impressed.
• Press the tray gently but firmly, allowing the compound to adapt to the anatomical structures.
• Hold in position until the compound cools and hardens.

Removing the Tray:

• Carefully remove the tray once the compound has fully set.
• Inspect the impression for defects or areas requiring retake.

Finalizing the Impression:

• Trim any excess material if necessary.
