Maarc D-Vitz pulp devitalizing paste is a safe and effective solution for pulp devitalization, containing paraformaldehyde and lidocaine. Usage:

D-Vitz is ideal when pulp devitalization is required and when an arsenic-free preparation is preferred. The active ingredient, paraformaldehyde, acts as a coagulant, providing the pulp with the required fibrous consistency to facilitate its subsequent extirpation.

Shelf life and storage :

• Remove as much decayed dentin from the cavity as possible to ensure direct contact with the pulp.
• Direct contact of the paste with the pulp speeds up the devitalization process.
• Place a pellet of the paste at the base of the cavity and seal it tightly with temporary cement.
• Devitalization is typically completed within 5–7 days.
• After complete pulp removal and pain relief, a permanent root canal filling can be placed.
