Julldent Flexible Periotome (JULL-DENT 065) is a specialized dental extraction instrument designed to assist with controlled and atraumatic tooth extraction. The instrument is used to cut and separate periodontal ligament (PDL) fibers surrounding the tooth root.
The Flexible Periotome features flexible shanks that help the working end adapt during access to the periodontal ligament space. Its serrated edge is designed to assist with controlled separation of periodontal ligament fibers, allowing the tooth to be progressively loosened before extraction.
The instrument is manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel and is designed to provide durability and corrosion resistance. Julldent Flexible Periotomes are completely autoclavable up to 135°C when processed according to the appropriate instrument-reprocessing protocol.

1. Examine the tooth, root anatomy and surrounding structures before beginning the extraction procedure.
2. Select the appropriate Julldent Flexible Periotome variant according to the tooth position and clinical requirement.
3. Inspect the instrument before use and ensure that it is clean and undamaged.
4. Sterilize the instrument according to the applicable validated reprocessing protocol.
5. Carefully introduce the working end into the periodontal ligament space between the tooth root and surrounding alveolar bone.
6. Apply gentle and controlled apical pressure.
7. Advance the flexible working end gradually along the root surface as clinically appropriate.
8. Use controlled movements to separate periodontal ligament fibers.
9. Avoid excessive force or uncontrolled movements that may damage the tooth, surrounding bone or soft tissues.
10. Continue around the tooth as required according to the selected extraction technique.
11. Proceed with the planned extraction using appropriate dental instruments.
12. Clean, inspect and sterilize the instrument according to the applicable validated reprocessing protocol before reuse.
