1. Select the appropriate straight or 90° angled crown remover according to the tooth location and access required.
2. Prepare the crown for removal according to the established clinical technique, including sectioning where required.
3. Position the notched tip securely at the prepared access point between the crown and tooth structure.
4. Maintain a firm grip on the ergonomic handle.
5. Apply controlled leverage to break the cement seal and facilitate crown removal.
6. Avoid excessive force that may damage the tooth, restoration or surrounding tissues.
7. Remove the crown carefully once the cement seal has been sufficiently disrupted.
8. Clean and inspect the instrument after use.
9. Sterilize the reusable instrument according to the applicable validated dental instrument-reprocessing protocol.
