Examine the maxillary arch to verify that size U3 provides adequate clearance for impression material.

Select and prepare the appropriate elastomeric or alginate impression material according to clinical indications.

Load the mixed impression material evenly across the arch trough and palatal vault of the tray.

Position the tray intraorally and seat it firmly until the rim lock and perforations retain the material.

Hold the tray steady without movement until the material achieves a complete set.

Gently break the suction seal and remove the tray, followed by cleaning and autoclaving according to standard protocol.
