1. Thoroughly clean and autoclave the instrument prior to the clinical procedure.
2. Engage the loose ends of the stainless steel ligature wire within the serrated jaws.
3. Lock or grip the handles firmly to establish a positive hold on the wire ends.
4. Rotate the instrument smoothly to twist the wire uniformly against the bracket.
5. Discontinue twisting once optimal ligature tension is achieved to avoid wire breakage.
6. Cut the excess wire tail using an appropriate cutter and tuck the twisted end securely.
7. Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize the instrument after patient use.
