Ensure the curette is thoroughly cleaned, lubricated if necessary, and sterilised in an autoclave before the first use and between all clinical cases.

Prepare the surgical site or extraction socket according to standard surgical protocols.

Select the appropriate scoop end based on the size and location of the defect or socket.

Gently introduce the working end into the socket or bony defect.

Apply controlled scraping motions against the bone to debride soft tissue, remove cysts, or clear debris.
