Prepare and sterilize the elevator thoroughly using standard autoclaving protocols before the surgical procedure.

Ensure the patient is appropriately anesthetized and the extraction site is clearly illuminated.

Gently introduce the spade tip into the periodontal space between the tooth root and alveolar bone wall.

Apply slow, controlled rotational and levering forces to sever the periodontal ligament fibers.

Work around the root circumference carefully to gradually expand the socket and mobilize the tooth.

Once adequate mobility is achieved, deliver the tooth or root fragment using appropriate extraction forceps.

Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize the instrument immediately following clinical use.
