Clean and disinfect the scissors prior to clinical usage.

Position the crown or orthodontic band firmly in hand or using appropriate holding pliers.

Align the straight cutting blades with the marked margin line on the crown or band.

Execute smooth, controlled cuts along the metal border to reduce length or contour edges. Smooth any sharp metal edges created during cutting using a finishing bur or polishing stone.

Decontaminate, thoroughly scrub off biological residue, and autoclave the instrument according to standard sterilization protocols.
