Examine the target tooth clinically and radiographically to evaluate root contour and alignment. Carefully slip the thin flexible working tip into the sulcular space parallel to the long axis of the root. Apply gentle circumferential and apical pressure to sever the attached periodontal fibers. Follow the root curvature smoothly, allowing the flexible blade to navigate natural anatomical contours. Mobilize the root gently without leverage forces against adjacent alveolar bone walls.
