Fabricated from premium surgical-grade stainless steel to ensure high corrosion resistance and structural longevity. Features a precise right-angled working blade positioned perpendicular to the handle for efficient access. Designed with a smooth, blunt, and rounded tip to minimize tissue trauma during delicate gingival manipulations. Flat-surfaced handle provides superior tactile feedback and control during mucoperiosteal detachment. Slim profile allows easy maneuverability around both anterior and posterior tooth regions. Multifunctional utility serving both as a tissue elevator prior to extractions and a tactile probe to confirm local anesthetic depth. Fully resistant to repeated high-temperature steam sterilization and chemical disinfection methods.
The GDC Moon'S Probe P13M is a specialized hand instrument engineered for oral surgery and periodontology procedures. Designed primarily for gentle mucoperiosteal elevation, this instrument aids clinicians in detaching soft tissue flaps around the cervical region of teeth prior to surgical extractions or periodontal interventions. Its unique geometric structure features a flat handle combined with a right-angled, flat blade that extends perpendicularly, enabling optimal mechanical leverage with minimal manual force. Equipped with a carefully crafted blunt, rounded tip, the P13M protects fragile marginal gingiva and underlying periosteum from accidental perforation or tearing. Beyond flap elevation, this instrument is widely utilized in routine clinical practice to test the depth and adequacy of local anesthesia by gently probing the gingival sulcus before initiating surgical cuts. Constructed from high-grade stainless steel, it withstands repeated autoclave sterilization cycles while maintaining high structural integrity and corrosion resistance

Clean and sterilize the instrument thoroughly via autoclave according to standard infection control protocols before clinical use. Position the patient comfortably to gain clear visibility and light access to the target surgical site. Hold the probe firmly using a light pen-like grip to maximize tactile sensitivity and control. Carefully place the blunt, rounded working blade into the gingival sulcus or against the cervical margin of the tooth. Apply gentle pressure to elevate the mucoperiosteal flap or check for effective local anesthetic action prior to surgical extractions. Upon procedure completion, immediately rinse off blood and organic debris, follow with ultrasonic cleaning, and autoclave for future use.
