Clean and sterilize the forceps using standard autoclave protocols before clinical use. Perform necessary clinical examination, diagnostic imaging, and administration of local anesthesia. Gently reflect the gingival tissues surrounding the affected upper primary root stump. Position the narrow beaks deep along the apical portion of the maxillary root to achieve a positive purchase. Apply firm, controlled rotational and apical force to loosen the root from the periodontal ligament space. Lift and deliver the root stump cleanly out of the socket. Inspect the extraction socket and clean, decontaminate, and sterilize the instrument immediately post-procedure.
