Prepare the patient and administer local anesthesia around the target maxillary left molar area.

Elevate surrounding mucoperiosteal tissue and sever the periodontal ligament attachment using an elevator.

Position the beaks of the FX18S forceps parallel to the long axis of the tooth crown.

Advance the beak tips subgingivally to engage the bifurcation root surface firmly.

Apply controlled apico-buccal and palatal force movements to expand the alveolar socket wall.
