Clean and sterilize the impression tray prior to clinical use following standard infection control protocols.

Select the correct tray size (#4 upper) that matches the patient's maxillary arch dimensions.

Prepare the chosen impression material, such as alginate or elastomeric paste, according to the manufacturer's guidelines.

Load an adequate amount of the mixed impression material evenly across the interior of the tray.
