Check the tray seating in the mouth to ensure proper coverage of the tuberosities and hamular notches without soft tissue impingement.

Apply a thin layer of tray adhesive if using elastomeric materials, allowing it to dry completely.

Mix the chosen impression material according to the manufacturer's specified working and setting times.

Load the upper tray evenly, ensuring adequate material coverage over the palatal vault and anterior ridge areas.

Insert the tray into the oral cavity centrally, applying uniform upward pressure until material flows smoothly into the vestibules.
