The GDC Edentulous Perforated Impression Trays Lower #2 (ITRLEDPL2) are essential clinical tools engineered for dental practitioners performing prosthodontic procedures on patients with missing natural teeth. Tailored specifically for the lower jaw anatomy, this tray features a shallow flange design that properly captures the residual alveolar ridge, sulcus depth, and mobile mucosal borders.
Built from robust stainless steel, the instrument withstands daily clinical demands and repeated thermal disinfection without losing structural integrity. The uniform pattern of perforations acts as mechanical retention slots, securing impression materials firmly in place to eliminate distortion during mouth withdrawal. Supplied as a single individual pack, this size #2 lower tray offers clinicians a reliable foundation for fabricating well-fitting complete dentures and accurate master casts.

Examine the patient's lower edentulous ridge to determine the appropriate tray size. Clean and dry the oral cavity thoroughly before starting the clinical procedure. Prepare the chosen impression material, such as alginate or elastomeric wash, according to manufacturer guidelines. Load the mixed material evenly into the Lower #2 edentulous perforated tray. Insert the loaded tray into the oral cavity, aligning it centrally over the lower residual alveolar ridge. Apply gentle, uniform pressure to seat the tray until the material flows into the vestibular sulcus. Allow the material to set completely undisturbed for the specified clinical duration. Break the peripheral seal carefully, withdraw the tray with a snap motion, and inspect the impression for accuracy.
