Select the appropriate upper #4 tray size matching the patient's maxillary arch dimensions.

Clean, disinfect, and sterilize the tray prior to clinical use.

Mix the chosen impression material according to the manufacturer guidelines.

Load an adequate amount of impression material uniformly into the tray interior.

Insert the loaded tray into the patient's oral cavity, aligning it centrally over the edentulous ridge.

Apply gentle, even upward pressure until the material flows and captures the oral landmarks.

Allow the material to set completely as per the recommended setting time.

Remove the set impression with a firm snap, rinse, disinfect, and send for cast pouring.
