Clean and sterilize the impression tray prior to clinical use according to standard protocols. Select the correct tray size (#4 upper) to properly accommodate the patient's maxillary arch dimensions. Prepare and load the selected dental impression material evenly into the tray cavity. Insert the loaded tray intraorally, aligning it carefully over the upper dentition and soft tissues. Apply gentle, uniform upward pressure until the material flows accurately around the dental anatomy. Hold the tray completely stationary in position for the full manufacturer-specified setting duration. Release the seal and remove the tray smoothly using a firm, controlled motion. Rinse, disinfect, and prepare the tray for subsequent autoclaving.
