Position the 5x5 inch acrylic marking template over a fresh pediatric rubber dam sheet. Mark the exact tooth positions corresponding to the child's primary or mixed dentition. Punch precise holes at the designated marks using the Ainsworth rubber dam punch. Select the appropriate wingless clamp (A1–A6) based on the target tooth anatomy. Engage the clamp with the rubber dam forceps, expand carefully, and anchor onto the cervical margin. Stretch the latex sheet over the anchored clamp and slide it through the interdental contacts. Attach the sheet periphery onto the 5-inch dam frame to establish a taut, clean operative shield.
