Thoroughly inspect the instrument for tip integrity and sterilize in an autoclave prior to surgical use.

Prepare and reflect the mucoperiosteal flap to expose the target osseous site.

Position the 3mm bevelled cutting tip against the bone at the desired osteotomy or troughing location.

Apply controlled manual pressure or deliver light, measured taps to the proximal end using a surgical mallet.

Shave, trim, or trough the bone in gradual steps while monitoring depth markings on the working tip.
