GC Soft Liner is a plasticised acrylic material intended for the short-term chairside relining of existing removable dentures. Its extra-soft, medium-flow consistency adapts to the fitting surface and helps improve comfort when an acrylic denture is temporarily unsuitable or causes pressure on the supporting tissues.

The material can be used for temporary rebasing of complete and partial dentures, tissue conditioning and functional impression procedures. Its powder-and-liquid system allows the consistency to be modified when clinically necessary, while the standard mixture can be applied shortly after preparation.

Each pack contains 100 g powder, 100 g or 97 mL liquid and the required accessory set. The lining should be monitored during use and replaced or removed according to the patient’s tissue condition and clinical treatment requirements.

1. Examine the patient’s oral tissues and assess the fit and condition of the existing acrylic denture.
2. Adjust unsuitable areas with a carbide bur, then clean and thoroughly dry the denture.
3. Apply cocoa butter or petroleum jelly only to areas that must remain free of relining material.
4. Dispense powder and liquid at the standard ratio of 2.2 g to 1.8 g. Adjust the ratio only when a different consistency is clinically required.
5. Place both components in the supplied glass jar and mix for 30–60 seconds.
6. Within approximately 1–2 minutes of mixing, spread the material evenly over the prepared fitting surface.
7. Seat the denture and ask the patient to close gently in centric occlusion while performing functional lip and mandibular movements.
8. Maintain the denture in position for approximately 5 minutes, then remove it and inspect the lining.
9. Soak the denture in cold water and trim excess material with a heated, sharp instrument. Add freshly mixed material to deficient areas if required.
10. Review the patient periodically and remove or replace the liner after several days or weeks according to the clinical situation.
