GC Reline II Soft is an addition-cured silicone material intended for resilient relining of removable dentures. It creates a cushioning interface between the denture base and oral tissues, making it suitable for patients with thin or sensitive mucosa, sharp alveolar ridges, severe ridge resorption or clinically significant undercuts.

The material can be applied through either a direct chairside technique or an indirect laboratory procedure. Its automix cartridge delivers the two components in the correct proportion, while the accompanying primer supports bonding to acrylic resin and metal denture bases. The liner retains its elasticity and can be trimmed using the dedicated point and finishing wheel supplied in the kit.

GC Reline II is available in Soft, ExtraSoft and ExtraExtraSoft variants. This introductory kit contains the Soft 48 mL cartridge together with primer, remover, mixing tips, disposable brushes, trimming and finishing instruments, and a plastic spatula.

1. Examine the oral tissues and denture, then relieve the fitting surface by approximately 1–2 mm where relining is required.
2. Roughen the relieved surface and expose a fresh denture-base layer. Clean ultrasonically or with an enzymatic solution and dry thoroughly.
3. Apply GC Reline II Primer for Resin to the prepared bonding surface using a clean, dry disposable brush.
4. Gently air-dry with clean, oil-free air and avoid contaminating the primed surface.
5. Attach a Mixing Tip II L to the cartridge and discard the initial small amount to confirm an even flow from both chambers.
6. Dispense GC Reline II Soft directly and evenly over the prepared denture surface within its 2-minute working time.
7. Seat the denture, guide the patient into centric occlusion and perform appropriate muscle-trimming movements.
8. Retain the denture intraorally for at least 5 minutes before carefully removing it.
9. Cut away gross excess with a scalpel or scissors. Trim with the supplied point below 20,000 rpm using light pressure.
10. Finish the margins with the supplied wheel below 6,000 rpm, then inspect the fit, borders and relined surface.
