GC Gold Label 2 LC is a resin-reinforced, light-cured glass ionomer restorative supplied as a powder-and-liquid system. It combines direct chemical adhesion and fluoride release with the convenience of a light-controlled set, allowing the clinician to finish the restoration immediately after curing.

Its fine glass particles and increased filler content support a smooth finish, improved polishability and greater resistance to cervical abrasion. The material is radiopaque for postoperative evaluation and hydrophilic, making it particularly useful when cavity margins extend onto dentine or ideal moisture control is difficult.

GC Gold Label 2 LC is indicated for Class III and V restorations, cervical erosion and abfraction lesions, root-surface caries and restorations in primary teeth. It may also be used as a restorative liner, base or core build-up material where clinically appropriate.

The product is available in two pack-size variants: Mini Pack containing 5 g powder and 3 g liquid, and Big Pack containing 15 g powder and 8 g liquid. Mini packs are available in A2, A3 and A3.5 shades, subject to stock availability.

1. Select the required shade before isolating and preparing the tooth.
2. Prepare the cavity conservatively. Use an appropriate calcium hydroxide liner when direct or near-direct pulpal protection is clinically indicated.
3. Apply GC Cavity Conditioner for 10 seconds or GC Dentin Conditioner for 20 seconds to the bonding surfaces.
4. Rinse thoroughly and gently remove excess water without desiccating the tooth; the prepared surfaces should remain slightly moist.
5. Tap the powder bottle gently before dispensing. Place one level scoop of powder and two vertically dispensed drops of liquid onto the mixing pad.
6. Divide the powder into two portions. Incorporate the first portion into the liquid, followed by the remaining powder, and mix to a glossy consistency within 20–25 seconds.
7. Place the cement within its working time, adapt it carefully and use a matrix where required. Avoid incorporating air bubbles.
8. For restorations deeper than approximately 1.8 mm, place and cure the material incrementally.
9. Position the curing-light tip close to the surface and light-cure each increment for 20 seconds using a suitable visible-light unit at approximately 470 nm.
10. Finish under water spray with suitable fine instruments, then apply an appropriate protective surface coating according to its instructions.
