GC Flexceed Putty + Light Body Kit is a vinyl polysiloxane impression system developed for accurate putty-wash impressions. It combines a supportive Type 0 putty with a flowable Type 3 wash material to reproduce prepared teeth, finish lines, interproximal areas and adjacent soft-tissue contours.

The hydrophilic light body provides controlled flow around moist dental surfaces and into clinically accessible subgingival areas. Its approximately 20 μm detail reproduction and tear-resistant set help preserve thin impression sections during removal. The putty forms a stable tray matrix and directs the wash material around the preparation.

Flexceed impressions demonstrate high elastic recovery and low dimensional change, supporting accurate gypsum casts and multiple pours when the impression is correctly handled and stored. The system is suitable for crown and bridge work, inlays, onlays, veneers, implants and other indirect restorative procedures.

Available Flexceed variants include Putty, Light Body Refill, the full Putty + Light Body Kit and a smaller Mini Kit. This full kit contains 500 g each of putty base and catalyst, two 50 ml light-body cartridges, eight mixing tips and eight intraoral tips.

1. Select a rigid, properly fitting impression tray and apply a VPS-compatible tray adhesive according to its instructions.
2. Ensure the operative field is clean and appropriately isolated. Complete gingival displacement and moisture control before mixing.
3. Avoid contact with latex, sulphur-containing materials, eugenol, polysulphide materials, oil, glycerol or incompatible impression materials, as these may inhibit polymerisation. Use vinyl, nitrile or polyethylene gloves.
4. Measure equal portions of Flexceed Putty Base and Catalyst using their respective scoops. Do not interchange the scoops or container lids.
5. Knead the two components with gloved fingers for approximately 20 seconds until a uniform colour is obtained, avoiding visible streaks.
6. Load the mixed putty evenly into the prepared tray within its approximately 1-minute working time.
7. Load a light-body cartridge into a compatible 1:1 impression-material dispensing gun. Attach a new mixing tip and intraoral tip, then bleed a small amount before clinical application.
8. Syringe the light body continuously around the prepared teeth and margins while keeping the tip immersed in the material to minimise trapped air.
9. Seat the putty-loaded tray promptly without rocking and maintain it steadily for at least 3 minutes or until the material has fully set.
10. Remove the impression with a controlled snap, rinse it, inspect the margins and fine details, and disinfect it using a compatible cold-disinfection protocol before pouring the cast.
