GC EQUIA Forte Bond, officially identified by the manufacturer as EQUIA Forte Coat, is a clear, self-adhesive resin coating developed for EQUIA Forte glass-hybrid restorations. It is applied after finishing to seal the restoration and create a smooth protective surface.

Its multifunctional resin monomer forms a tough coating that supports the strength, wear resistance and marginal integrity of the underlying restorative material. The coating also protects the glass-hybrid cement from early moisture exposure or dehydration while its chemical maturation continues.

A thin application produces a glossy surface and can reduce the amount of conventional polishing required. All coated surfaces are light-cured for 20 seconds using a compatible visible-light curing unit.

The pack contains one 4 ml bottle of EQUIA Forte Coat and 25 disposable micro-tip applicators. It is intended for use with EQUIA Forte Fil and EQUIA Forte HT Fil and should not be listed or used as a general-purpose dental bonding agent.

1. Complete placement, contouring and initial setting of the EQUIA Forte Fil or EQUIA Forte HT Fil restoration.
2. Finish the restoration under water spray using suitable superfine finishing instruments.
3. Rinse away all finishing debris and dry the restoration using oil-free air.
4. Dispense a small amount of EQUIA Forte Coat into a clean dispensing dish and immediately close the bottle.
5. Apply a thin, uniform layer over every exposed surface of the restoration using a disposable micro-tip applicator. Do not air-thin the coating.
6. Prevent contamination by saliva, blood or water before curing. If contamination occurs, rinse, dry and apply a fresh coating.
7. Immediately light-cure all coated surfaces for 20 seconds using a visible-light curing unit with an output above 500 mW/cm².
8. Position the light guide as close as possible to the coated surface. Repeat curing if the surface remains tacky or appears yellowish.
