DPI Provipast (FP003) is a premixed, ready-to-apply temporary filling paste formulated with therapeutic calcium hydroxide. Engineered for routine endodontic and restorative workflows, this material eliminates the need for powder-liquid mixing, reducing preparation time and ensuring consistent clinical performance. Its smooth consistency facilitates seamless insertion and tight adaptation against internal cavity walls.

Upon exposure to intraoral moisture and saliva, the paste undergoes a quick setting process, transforming into a durable provisional seal. It protects the prepared tooth structure against microleakage, ingress of fluids, and bacterial contamination between clinical appointments. The underlying calcium hydroxide component provides biocompatible pulpal care, soothing sensitive dentine while keeping the tooth comfortable.

DPI Provipast is supplied in a convenient 20 g container, providing ample material for multiple clinical applications. Once the interim treatment phase is complete, the temporary dressing can be cleanly and efficiently removed with hand instruments without causing trauma to the underlying sound structure or cavity margins.

1. Prepare and clean the target cavity thoroughly, removing all temporary debris and moisture.
2. Dispense the required quantity of ready-to-use paste directly from the container.
3. Place the paste into the dry cavity preparation using a suitable plastic instrument.
4. Adapt and contour the material neatly against the cavity margins before moisture exposure.
5. Allow the material to interact with intraoral moisture or saliva to initiate rapid setting.
6. Verify occlusal clearance and wipe off any excess material around adjacent surfaces.
