Dpi Pinnacle Tracing Stick / Green Stick (FP001) is a thermoplastic compound formulated specifically for border molding and peripheral tracing during preliminary and final impression procedures. It offers controlled flow characteristics when heated, enabling clinicians to accurately record functional tissue movements and anatomical contours along the border of edentulous arches.

The green stick compound softens quickly in warm water or over a low flame, rendering a uniform consistency that accepts precise detail under functional tissue pressure. Once positioned and shaped in the mouth, it sets rapidly upon cooling, maintaining stable dimensions throughout subsequent impression steps with zinc oxide eugenol or other secondary impression materials.

1. Heat the tip of the green tracing stick uniformly over a low gas flame or in hot water maintained at 55°C–60°C.
2. Apply the softened material evenly onto the dry peripheral borders of the custom impression tray.
3. Temper the heated stick in warm water to prevent thermal discomfort to patient tissues.
4. Insert the tray into the oral cavity and perform functional muscle molding movements along the vestibule.
5. Chill the material thoroughly with cold water inside the mouth until fully hardened, then withdraw and inspect the border extension.
