DiaDent gutta-percha cartridges are designed with a longer, more flexible needle that easily navigates curved canals, reaching the apex with precision. The improved needle design enhances heat conductivity, ensuring a consistent flow of molten gutta-percha for a denser, more reliable fill. Additionally, the cartridge design allows for maximum material delivery, minimizing waste.

These cartridges come pre-loaded and are intended for single use with the EvoFill motorized backfill obturation system. They offer fast, hygienic loading with no cleaning required. The 23-gauge bendable tip provides excellent flexibility, while the optimized flowability ensures smooth and efficient obturation.

1. Insert the Gutta Percha Cartridge (EvoFill)

• Insert the cartridge into the handpiece and turn the cartridge nut clockwise to secure it; turn counterclockwise to release.
• Attach the EvoFill Safety Cap to the front of the device.
• Bend the tip of the cartridge using the provided Multi-Tool.

2. Turn on the Device

• Press and hold the power button to switch on the device; it will automatically begin preheating to the selected temperature.
• If initial heating is insufficient, briefly preheat at a higher temperature to soften the gutta-percha quickly.
• The temperature indicator flashes during preheating and stops with an audible alert when the device is ready.

3. Obturating (Backfill)

• Fit the master gutta-percha cone dipped in sealer and take a radiograph to confirm proper placement.
• Increase the device temperature to heat the gutta-percha inside the cartridge.
• Using the EvoFill tip, touch the upper part of the gutta-percha already in the canal for 3–5 seconds to transfer heat.
• Extrude the melted gutta-percha into the canal while gradually withdrawing the tip.
• Compact the material with an endodontic hand plugger. Repeat as needed until the canal is fully filled without voids.
• Take a final radiograph to verify complete obturation.
