EasyPost Overview
EasyPost is a composite post made of an epoxy resin matrix reinforced with zircon-enriched silicon fibers. Its mechanical properties, including a longitudinal modulus of elasticity and shear strength close to that of dentin, make it ideal for homogeneous root reconstruction while minimizing the risk of root fractures.
Preparation
- Simple preparation using central drilling with a tungsten carbide round bur.
- Progressive reaming with spreading drills, finished with the corresponding EasyPost precision drill.
- Straightforward technique reduces procedural complexity and saves time.
Biocompatibility
- Certified non-cytotoxic according to ISO 0993-5.
- Chemically inert and fully biocompatible, ensuring safety for patients.
Radiopacity
- Easily visualized on X-rays for accurate placement and postoperative monitoring.
Canal Adhesion
- Chemically adheres to the sealing and reconstruction composite.
- Eliminates the need for mechanical retention, such as metallic posts.
Cylindrical-Conical Form
- Dimensions designed based on DENTSPLY Maillefer’s extensive experience with posts.
- Adapted to the root canal anatomy, including very small canals.
- Cylindrical portion can be adjusted in length using a diamond disc.
- Slightly pointed tip prevents piston effect during sealing.
